Very durable. Used for the first time during torrential rains and pretty strong winds! Worked great in conjunction with 2 telescoping poles. Loved how many loops there were for tie downs. It's not super light which is to be expected given its durability. Actually want to get a second one. I feel like this will hold up much better than your big box heavy-duty plastic tarps.

Originally purchased as a hammock rainfly. Works great in everything other than really heavy downpours. In heavy rain it feels like a light mist penetrates through the merteral but the fly kept me dry. I use it with my old tent on my last trip to the UP and never had a drop of water in the tent.

I ordered this just in case it rained. Holy wah did it rain! All night and all the next day. We had set up this rain fly over our picnic table and site. We were able to comfortably cook, chat and enjoy ourselves despite the deluge! Highly recommended! This is light weight, strong and easily stuffs back into the bag when the trip is over. The shape is not rectangular but works well. I would advise bringing extra cordage. A couple of poles might be useful as well. The silver lining reflects light and heat providing a cozy space on a cold, wet night. We were really pleased with this product!

We got the 10X12 model for a recent camping trip, and it was perfect for our needs. I was impressed by the reinforced attachment points and the general quality of the fly. We didn't see any rain on our trip so I can't speak to those qualities, but it did a great job of providing shade, which is why we got it.
